Web-based GIS application built on Geo Node Open Source Platform (GeoDASH)
Project Type
Web-based GIS application
Client
The World Bank Group
GeoDASH is a comprehensive web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) application that enables spatial data storage and sharing across many agencies involved in disaster risk management. This is an integrated geolocation-based mapping platform developed as part of a World Bank-funded initiative that smoothens the process of data sharing among all stakeholders.
Key features
Real-time notification system
Able to analyze data from local Network Source
Extensive monitoring system and file import/export capabilities

Developing NSDI Prototype System (NSDI)
Project Type
Web-based GIS application
Client
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Streams Tech built the NSDI-PS web portal, a highly informative and comprehensive web-GIS monitoring platform funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This platform includes a server system that is responsible for securely sharing data among stakeholders. The web-based GIS portal enables secure access to the system.
Key features
Able to create maps using single or multiple layers
Integrated Map Tools (e.g. Routing and BBOX search)
Able to create custom maps
Map analytics (e.g. map loads, pan, and zoom)
Able to coordinate view, elevation, address and reverse geocoding

Implementation of GIS Infrastructure in the Urban Resilience Project
Project Type
Web-based GIS application
Client
Urban Resilience Project
Streams Tech performed a complete GIS need assessment study on the key agencies involved in the Urban Resilience Project (URP) to identify information gaps, assess each agency’s GIS strength, and develop action plans to establish an emergency management system. The study has resulted in the application of relevant geospatial tools and capabilities within the emergency management system, thereby enhancing the system’s effectiveness.
Key features
Design and develop an effective action plan for the SOWs mentioned in the TOR and deploy resources accordingly
Identify needs for the establishment of a GIS based Emergency Management System
Identify the needs for setting up a GIS Cell in each key agency
Provide basic GIS and GeoDASH (or other national data sharing web-based platform) training to bring key agencies up to speed
Inspect present status of the organizational GIS setup of each organization
Develop Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) for a suite of emergency management tools
Identify major challenges and constraints associated with stakeholder GIS data
Assess spatial data

Development of a GIS Based Web Application for Project Planning of LGED
Project Type
Web-based GIS application
Client
Local Government Engineering Department (LGED)
Streams Tech developed a GIS portal for the LGED. The platform enables LGED’s 13394 personnel to see more than 375,000 kilometers of roads and their characteristics on interactive maps, conduct operation and maintenance (O&M) assessments, and create reports. LGED’s engineers can now instantly access a central database and complete a range of tedious tasks with a few mouse clicks.
Key features
GIS mapping of LGED’s road network and other objects
Twofold symbology levels for displaying roads
LGED’s paved road density map of Bangladesh
Custom layer selection option for mapping
Category based object symbology display option

Development of BFIS Platform and Technical Support for Geoportal
Project Type
Web-based GIS application
Client
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
Streams Tech developed an integrated web-based land cover monitoring tool funded by Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) to collect forest-related data into a single platform, allowing multiple organizations to store and retrieve data. The designated government department collects geospatial data to maintain the forest, ecology, and biodiversity. The geospatial web portal can store a large amount of forest-related geospatial data for various analyses.
Key features
Centralized information platform
Customized ArcGIS plugin for large data upload facility
Open source customized MapLoom
