Flutter Developer

Streams Tech is looking for a Flutter Developer to build and maintain high-quality, cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart, extensive expertise in SQL and database query optimization, and experience integrating mobile applications with backend services built using technologies such as Python/.NET.

This role is particularly suited to a developer who understands offline-first application architecture, data synchronization, geospatial data, maps, and mobile device capabilities, and can work effectively across the application stack.

Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart for Android and iOS from a single codebase, following clean, scalable, and testable architecture.
Design and maintain offline-first mobile functionality, including local data persistence, background synchronization, queued submissions, conflict resolution, and graceful application behavior in intermittent or low-bandwidth environments.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex database queries, including joins, aggregations, and geospatial queries across PostgreSQL/PostGIS and MySQL.
Contribute to database schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and query-plan analysis for large datasets.
Integrate mobile applications with backend services through REST APIs, authentication and authorization flows, file uploads, payload synchronization, and other service integrations.
Work closely with backend engineers working with Python/Django and .NET-based services to ensure reliable application and data integration.
Implement robust data handling, validation, error handling, caching, synchronization, and recovery mechanisms.
Conduct application testing, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization across different devices and network conditions.
Collaborate with backend developers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and other technical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control, documentation, testing, security, and maintainable software development.

BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology is preferred.

3-5 years of relevant professional experience in mobile or software application development, including at least 2 years of hands-on production-level experience on flutter/Dart.

Strong hands-on experience with Flutter/Dart, Android/iOS development, mobile architecture, state management, local persistence, offline-first functionality, REST APIs, authentication/authorization, and data synchronization.
Extensive database query expertise is required. The candidate should be strong in SQL, comfortable writing and debugging complex queries, reasoning about indexes and execution plans, and optimizing slow queries over large, growing datasets. Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (PostGIS a plus) and/or MySQL.
Hands-on experience with SQLite on mobile devices is required, including querying and updating JSON data for dynamic object structures whose fields and shape can change over time.
Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, testing, and performance optimization skills.
Experience with Git/version control and collaborative software development practices.
Good written and spoken English capabilities.
Backend development experience with Python/Django or .NET.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with BLoC, Riverpod, Provider, or GetX, and Firebase or similar mobile backend services.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, mobile testing, CI/CD, and application deployment to Google Play Store/App Store.
